A Day Off in the Kitchen...

You were all so sweet last week.

I got so many encouraging messages after I lamented whether or not anyone would actually have time to read my email...in light of the fact that many of us were stressed to the max with the start of school.    Yes, I read all of the responses...and if you ever want to chat...or need help with something from the shop, this is your direct link to ME!  Just hit reply, and I'm here.

Today was one of those days where I just wanted to get ahead of the game.  Other than a few text messages, I took the day off.  I didn't really do much Plume work until I sat down to write this evening.

Instead I spent almost the entire day in my kitchen in between helping the kids with school stuff.   I made breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast casseroles, a huge batch of marinara sauce and a double batch of meatballs from my favorite cookbook (which we have in the shop) co-written by my friend and neighbor, Rachel Tiemeyer, From Freezer to Table.   It's my go-to when I'm in the mood to do meal prep and stock the freezer.

When I'm in the kitchen and the kids are downstairs in their "classroom" (you can see pics of their school space that I wrote about last week HERE) I like to pop in my air pods and watch something while I'm working.   I'm not sure what rock I've been living under but I just discovered The Home Edit show on Netflix today.   Where have I been?  I think I watched like 6 episodes.  I just kept finding more food to prep so I could have an excuse to keep watching.   I do so love a good de-cluttered rainbow organized room.  My goodness these ladies are phenomenal!   (And who am I kidding, I'm still watching right now while I'm typing!)

And now, I am officially inspired to go through every junk drawer, pantry, closet, jewelry box and kids toy area and GET TO WORK!

How about you, how is your week going?

We have a lot of fun stuff going on in the Bake Shoppe Kitchen this week.

Orders are officially OPEN for these amazing Game Day Cupcakes!

We know Game Day's will look different this year with no Tailgating and limited fans but we're still here to help you cheer on the Tigers at your small watch parties.   Why not order some cupcakes for your "Homegating"?  Our Game Day Assortment features our most decadent cupcake the TIGER PAW!  It's dark chocolate mocha cake, vanilla buttercream, our signature salted caramel sauce topped with a handmade white chocolate tiger paw.

First home game vs. Alabama is Saturday Sept 26th.   Order your cupcakes NOW!

Beyond gamedays, we've also put together an adorable and delicious Fall Quartet Cupcake Assortment

Featuring 2 new flavors...

Gimme S'more
This cupcake starts with our made-from-scratch chocolate cake + vanilla buttercream. We top it off with crushed graham crackers, a marshmallow, chocolate bar and honey graham cereal.

and...

Pumpkin Cream

Pumpkin cinnamon cake with our signature vanilla buttercream frosting, white chocolate curls and mellocreme pumpkins.  I'm personally not a huge pumpkin spice girl.  I don't like the clove and nutmeg...  so we left those out and I have to tell you the simplicity of the cinnamon + pumpkin is sooooo yummy!

We'll be offering our Fall Quartet daily through Thanksgiving.  Who's day can you brighten with these this week?

We'd love to help you love on your people this week with goodies + gifts.  Stop by!  If you're short on time, order ahead and we'll run your cupcakesgourmet popcorn & macarons out to your car along with anything else you'd like to order on our website.

Here's to a great week friends!
