There’s Room at Our Table

Something happened in the last week and I can’t quite pinpoint what it is…but since last Thursday I’m suddenly getting so much more accomplished.  Oh wait, yes…school started.  Are you team YAHOO! or team BOOHOO! when it comes to Back to School?  I’m a little of both.   My kids were ready emotionally, but they are soo tired already just 2 days into their first full week.   My son cried Monday night at bedtime saying he did not want to go to school the next day.  He’s never said this before.  I think it was totally him thinking about what time he had to get up in the morning and the full week of school ahead after his first Monday.  He was exhausted.

I hear you buddy.

This past Saturday we had 2 showers in the Gathering Room and they were so fun!  A baby brunch shower and an afternoon bridal shower.    I happen to be in the age group where I cannot tell you the last wedding or baby shower I went to.  I’ll probably not go to another one until my kiddos and their friends start getting married.   It’s just the stage of life we’re in right now.  All our closest friends are already married and well done having kids.

That being the case, I love seeing these brides and mom-to-be’s being celebrated and loved on and all the ideas the girls come in with to make the Gathering Room a little more personal to them.  Each one is always so cute and special.  Our calendar is getting pretty full already this fall but we do have a few openings.  Igf you need to plan a shower for September – December You can request date availability HERE. 

Christy from Paper Baristas and I are gearing up for another evening of  Hand Lettering this Thursday night, August 22 6-8PM.

There’s plenty of room for you!  We love our workshop table sooo much.  Before we got it, we used to be cramped in the kitchen and split between 2 tables but now all 15 of us get to gather around one big table and it makes such a difference.  I’m actually planning to take the class myself this time too, so if you want to come hang out with Christy and I, we have about 5 spots left.
