For starters it's what I've spent the last 48 hours working on. I got a new-to-me toy this week called Mailchimp. (and you say..."Kelly, that's been out for like...ever!") I'm sure this is nothing new to all of you experienced business people but its taken me 17 months to figure out I actually do need a customer email list...newsletter...what-have-you. I'm not sure why the Joss & Main and overstock.com emails I get in my inbox 2 to 3 times a day didn't give me a clue on how to run a successful business. Anywho. welcome to plume.

this is a shout out.

at some point over the last 17 months you've visited plume either in person, or via our website, and indicated you'd like to be kept up to speed on what's going on around here. we've been working away in the shop and it's better than ever! what started out in the remnants of a 1200 sq. ft. garage with 27 mom friends of mine has grown into 2400 sq. ft. and is now home to over 100 local artists and treasure hunters who sell their handiwork and vintage findings at plume (there's even a few guys now too...whoop, whoop!). my little shop is growing. i'm grateful to each of you who shop, sell and gather here. as far as me personally? i've been busy stretching myself. i got a new computer & learned quickbooks. i completed my first set of year end financials and taxes. i started blogging again. i learned how to send this email to you. none of this comes without lots of help. i prayed. i consulted with a bookkeeper and accountant. my trusty sidekick jana is helping me with this email stuff. i'm getting better at asking for help. letting go of control. delegating. i have to. stay tuned to "plume shout-outs" for more updates about specials, classes & events, new artists and giveaways. if it's been awhile since you've visited the shop...please come back! there's nothing i like more than repeat customers. see u soon. love, kelly p.s if you would like to receive your very own "shout-out" from plume right in your in-box, email me at somethingplume@outlook.com and I'll add you to the list. and don't forget to follow along on www.facebook.com/somethingplume and @somethingplume on instagram.
