It is always so humbling to see so many of you coming through our doors.   It was a record Small Biz Saturday for Plume!

If you came by, you may have noticed (or not) that I wasn’t even actually there!  Thanksgiving is our holiday we always travel, alternating between my family in Kentucky and Jeremy’s in Southwest MO.   Being out of the shop on such a BIG DAY made for a super stressful few days leading up to our departure last Wednesday.  I think over half our makers came by to drop off extra inventory and we had to work like crazy to make sure it all made it out on the sales floor on time.  But I knew our team was up for the task and they handled things like the pro’s they are.

I loved the time I got to spend with my parents and sister but don’t think for one minute that I wasn’t disappointed to not also be able to be there with all of you.  As a shop owner you want to be there for your people when they show up, especially on those milestone days.  But I am so thankful for the break, and still a record sales day to boot.  (Maybe I should be gone more often??)

We once again served My Momma’s Wassail and I thought I would share the recipe with you here for those who would like to make it at home.  I will preface this by saying that I don’t think this is her original recipe.  I have no idea where she got it from, but it’s the recipe she has made since I was little so to me…it’s her’s.  Mind you, my dad is normally the one who insists on it being made.
