Lovin' on my Team...

This past week was super fun! Monday we had our annual Plume Team Party which consisted of Poolside bonding, Charcuterie making with Carrie from Graze and good food from one of our favorite local restaurants, Hoss's! (We wish Trish, Jim and their boys the best as they move forward. Did you know they sold the business last week? Good news...we hear it will still be Hoss's)

I'm not kidding when I say I have THE BEST TEAM at Plume. Our business has grown over these almost 9 years but I'm no longer doing it all on my own, and that is a GREAT THING! We always have our annual party in the summer since we're just way too busy during the holidays, and it was such a nice relaxing time outside of the shop. (How else can you find out one of your girl's dumped their boyfriend and another one now HAS a boyfriend??)

Then Tuesday, we had the honor of being named (thanks to all of you who voted) as Inside Columbia Magazine's Best Place to Buy Home Decor for the 2nd year in a row! The recognition event was held at the Atrium and sponsored by VU.

Beth and Jen went with me and it was lovely to spend that time with them but also to see all the other Gold Winners receive their recognition. We're in amazing company and we don't take that lightly! Thank you Inside Columbia and Veterans United!! Columbia is a better place because of YOU.

One of my favorite parts of the event was this year's cover reveal and seeing our Maker, Cindy Scott be named Best Local Artist and her Around COMO piece provided the backdrop for the cover. We love carrying Cindy's prints and cards at Plume. (Not-so-subtle hint for you to swing by and see them in person if you haven't yet! Or Order ONLINE HERE)

In other news... I've received so many nice words about our marketing and social media feeds thanks to Grace & Sophie and the rest of the team for taking over a bit for the summer. It's a nice break for me. Grace just put together a super helpful "About Plume" guide in our Instagram Highlights....

We're heading into the Dog Days of summer, and...while there were many fun things to celebrate and be thankful for, we're seeing some not-so-fun sales trends in the shop. Believe me...we get it! Gas prices are crazy, the cost of everything has gone up so very much and your funds are limited. We know you're thinking extra hard about how and where you spend your dollars right now.

We're grateful, each time you choose to spend them here at Plume when you need a pick-me-up for yourself or for someone you love.
