...I MISS MY MOMMA

I'm missing my momma today.

This current stint may just be the longest we've gone without seeing one another since I moved to Missouri.  And definitely the longest since my kids were born.  (For those of you who are new here, I'm originally from Louisville, KY and my parents still live there).   My parents are "recent" 70-year olds and still spry enough to travel to visit so we normally see them about once a month.  We spent her 70th birthday together in January, when they last came to Columbia.

I haven't seen her since.  

This virus business stinks.   But I am so thankful my parents are behaving themselves and staying home and staying safe and we can face time and chat and keep in touch. 

My friend lost her momma this past week.  And my heart has been really heavy for her.    I don't think she actually died as a result of the virus, but the virus prevented them from being together when she passed away.  And also from being able to have the kind of visitation and funeral we would all hope to be able to honor our parents with.   I just keep thinking how hard that would be and I've been praying for her. 

I'm not normally this on top of things around here.  I frequently find myself way behind the norm when it comes to rolling out gift ideas for various holidays, but because my momma has been on my mind this week...I realized Mother's Day is actually less than a month away on May 10th.

We're back at it with our CURBSIDE PICKUP THIS FRIDAY April 17th from 9am to 11am.   Just one day this week as we really weren't sure what the demand might be post Easter since we had such an amazing response last week.  As we get closer to Mother's Day, we will likely add another Saturday pick-up for those of you who need it.  

All menu items in our "Curbside Market" like our made-from-scratch cupcakes, GOPO Gourmet Popcorn, fresh baked Croissants, French Macarons, organic locally grown flowers, elderberry syrup, and farm fresh local eggs will be available to order and pick-up, along with anything you'd like to purchase from our website.

PLEASE  NOTE:  ALL ORDERS MUST BE IN NO LATER THAN 4PM THURSDAY APRIL 16th.
