Full on LOVE Mode!

Reflecting on this last day of January...

On the brink of an impending snowstorm...having gone through two stints of kids at home with Covid about 2 weeks apart.  My 7th graders got it the first week back to school after the holidays.  My 5th grader was spared then, but picked it up about a week later on possibly the *one day* she was back at school after the long weekend.  So she's been home since last Thursday and gets to go back tomorrow.  My parents have now rescheduled their visit for the 2nd and 3rd time.  They were supposed to come last week when we found out Anni tested positive.  Then ironically my Dad tested positive from Louisville.  So they postponed until this week...and now they aren't able to come due to the snow storm.

I really shouldn't focus on all the inconveniences, because honestly...that's all they were.  Minor inconveniences.   The kid's symptoms were all very mild.  My Dad's symptoms in Louisville were very  mild.   Our family is all in-tact.  It appears our vaccines and boosters did their jobs.   But my mom lost her brother last week (not Covid related) and so that really puts things back in perspective.   And suddenly an upcoming snowday seems like a gift to embrace snuggling at home with your people. 

Life is Precious.

In spite of January seeming to be pretty sluggish, and me not being in the shop very much, thanks to my team we managed to not only make our Sales Goal...we grew about 16% over last January.  And that makes me a little less stressed to go into February facing the possibility of being closed a couple of days due to the weather.   (Although we do have workshops coming up this Thursday & Saturday that I REALLY, REALLY do not want to have to reschedule so we're praying for the best!)

In the meantime, February 1st seems like the perfect day to remind you that we are in FULL-ON VALENTINE PRE-ORDER MODE!   And did you hear?  We're OPEN on Valentine's Day this year (it's a Monday) to help you with your order Pick-Ups.
