A loss is a loss...
October is about more than Breast Cancer.
I'm not in anyway minimizing breast cancer, I will wear my pink with thankfulness and strength. If you've been around for awhile you know that my mom is a 3x breast cancer survivor. I get screened twice a year and last year I had my first breast biopsy due to a suspicious mammogram. It was thankfully benign.
I know so many women who have not been as fortunate as I am.
Positive Biopsies. Surgeries. Chemo. Loss of a mom. Sister. Friend.
Breast Cancer is a Big Deal, no question.
But it's not the only thing happening in October.
In quieter spaces, although their voices become a bit louder each year, women are grieving a loss of a different kind.
October is also Infant Loss Awareness Month. If you or someone you love has lost a child to stillbirth, miscarriage, SIDS, or any other cause at any point during pregnancy or infancy, my heart hurts with you.
GracefulWait Ministry
Once a month Plume is the host location for a support group for women who are grieving a loss or are struggling and grieving through infertility.

Our group is called GracefulWait and we'd love to extend an invitiation to you or any woman you know who could use support of this kind.
It doesn't matter if you lost your baby at 4 weeks or 40 weeks. A loss is a loss. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of Every month at 6PM, in the Gathering Room at Plume.
